Colon Health Begins with Regularity

Filed under: Uncategorized @ 4:31 pm

If you are not having at least one movement every day, you might want to work on restoring colon regularity for colon health and weight management. There are many means to bring around chronic constipation:

Herbal laxatives. The herbs cascara sagrada and senna are the chemical cornerstone of many consumer laxative products. Ex-Lax, for instance, is only a little bit of senna herb encased in delicious chocolate. Of these two herbs, senna will tend to cause abdominal cramping. If you intend to take an herbal laxative for a long stretch of time, choose cascara sagrada. Both herbs can be taken in easy to use tablets or capsules. Take them at bedtime for a morning bowel movement.

Colonics. The colonic is a more in depth version of the enema, given by a trained colonic therapist. During a colonic, water is flushed in and out of the colon repeatedly. A colonic irrigation gives your colon a wholesome cleansing and will enhance the muscles in your lower intestines. Colonics should be done at the very most once each month.

Enemas. If what you want is prompt relief from constipation, enemas are the optimal colon stimulative. You can get an enema bag and do it at home, or buy the packaged Fleet enema. Both are safe to exercise on an infrequent basis, but you should not exceed once each week.
