Practical Altruism at Its Foremost: the Entrepreneurial Vision of Naveen Jain

Filed under: Uncategorized @ 12:22 am

Chances are you will have come across Mr. Naveen Jain in connection with him being the co-founder & CEO of Intelius, Inc. the renowned information commerce market leader. Well beyond having a position on the Forbes 400 Richest in America list in 2000, this enterprising businessman has won a variety of coveted awards, notably the WSA Industry Achievement Award, the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award, and the Albert Einstein Technology Medal. But that is definitely not the end of the story. This is because Mr. Jain and his relations are just as zealous about philanthropy and will seek to give aid whenever possible. The youth of today are positively mankind’s greatest hope or the future. This enterprising man views and treats them as a principal core of his charitable projects and he uses every occasion he encounters to aid them. This obviously, is the main reason why he is always thoroughly taking advantage of every possibility he can to offer help whenever viable. Hence, Naveen Jain, his relations and his workers at Intelius, Inc. have decided to actually walk the talk: they are pledging their time and effort to charitable agencies such as the Bellevue Boys and Girls Club, the University of Washington, and Hopelink. They will give significant pecuniary assistance, but most importantly they commit their time and care to the most deprived and vulnerable children. As well as this he sponsors the Children’s Hospital, contributing to enhance children’s health.

With Jain being a former student of XLRI Jamshedpur and the Indian Institute of Technology, it’s not at all astonishing that education also constitutes a critical hub in his philanthropic activities. This also incorporates causes and voluntary organizations that range from the local to the global. Therefore, Intelius and its CEO are involved in supporting charitable institutions and establishments such as the Vedic Cultural Center, Child Rights and You (CRY) and the Indian American Education Foundation.

Providing for the world’s famished is an equally fundamental objective to Jain and his family and to him, it makes not one iota of difference. Although he is conscious that the task of locating food for all the planet’s starving is an eminently colossal one, he is also aware that the unattainable can actually be achieved if only the whole world endeavors towards a unified end. If this CEO should have his way, the final curtain will is bound to come down on famine and poverty on this planet in the future.

You may think that as the man in operative control of a spectacularly thriving company and a dedicated husband and father to boot would give him no spare room for charity and aiding the needy. However he takes care to make certain that every one of his beneficent projects can rely on all the help he can possibly donate. This altruistic man is undeniably much more than a simple maverick of digital commerce. He is, beyond that, an absolutely extraordinary person and an authentic community advocate.
