Is this the End of Marriage?

Filed under: Uncategorized @ 12:14 am

To get hitched or not to wed? That is the question. It ne’er used to be the doubt. It was before ‘When to marry?’ not ‘why to marry’. For a long time young ladies were expected and required themselves to seek out a husband young, hook up and set up home with nippers and a pet, and devotethe rest of their days to organising a well run house. Perhaps because females have been set free from what were once their established purposes, that marriage is no longer of importance and most assuredly not the only road to take up. In Actually umpteen people- both male and female decidedly detest the idea of marriage, and can’t imagine looking into a loved one’s eyes and promising whole-heartedly to spend the remaider of their days with them until the end. In many ways it’s a shame, because weddings can be such special events- especially when they feature a exquisite wedding gown and sky lanterns. But, ill-starred marriages can be devastating, financially and emotionally ruinous, and the most lonely things in the world. Though being in a ill-fated relationship is also massively isolating, somehow with the marriage tag, it’s . The outside world have certain expectations of a twosome when they are officially married and have supposedly spent so much cash on their wedding day. They are supposed to be happy or to at least try their damndest to be so. As a result of this detected outside insistence, many partners feel they have to put on a front and cover their honest emotions. The reason why there were more marriages or why marriages endured a few generations ago is because couples had no choice but to keep ploughing on with their relationship. This is good in some ways, but in others, it is very negative. Yes there were more such , but there were also many more desperately grim ones.
