Cell Phone Caller? Caller?
With everyone in practically the entire world having a cellular phone glued to their ear all day long and how they are quickly turning into little mini computers so you can do all those post modern things without actually seeing another person. A postmodern society is where everyone else does all the work and we see less human interaction right? Isn’t that what’s happening here? My sociology teacher thought that a postmodern society has been the direction we are going for quite a while now. I got to agree with the guy, I don’t think that’s a bad thing really but more of a change in thinking really. I’m sure my grandparents would have a problem with it but then again they would have quite a few problems with the way things are now. Their time was such an innocent one really, not plagued with a lot of the things we have grown used to. They did go through the great depression so they were plenty tough, but when my grandmother had to look away in the make-out scene in Top Gun I cant imagine what she would say watching any reality show on MTV. Kind of makes me sad.
