Internet: The Darling Of Business

Filed under: Uncategorized @ 3:40 pm

Internet has become indispensable in our lives. It has become the biggest source of communication and information for us. Just pause for a while and imagine being without it.

Impossible huh!

Yes! Though called virtual this world of internet is a reality of our lives. As the time moves ahead and technology becomes more sophisticated the internet will penetrate deeper into our lives, works and cultures. Our next generations to come will witness a world which will make our look like prehistoric.

Quite a percentage of population uses the internet. But most of are unaware of the potential it has to churn out the money.

Internet has become a business arena like nothing else. There are innumerable ways to make tons of money here. Every company from small to large has to have a web presence in order to succeed. You will agree with me that every successful company does have a web address which they display wherever possible.

Why?

First the technology of the net has made the whole world into your market. Web technology including websites and browsers permit a far more number of communications possible.

Whether you provide a service or sell a product, you reach millions and millions of potential customers. Any one who has a computer and internet connection is your potential consumer. Can you think such a reach possible using any other method!

Second reason is the economy of running a business. The cost of setting up and running a business is a fraction of what you need to run a business in the real life brick and mortar business. The internet saves you cost of running and maintaining the office, reduces the number of staff required to run the business and many others.

In fact a number of home businesses on the net are run by a single individuals and quite a number of them do this in their extra time after the office.

Third reason is that the business on the net runs 24 hours a day throughout the year. Once your internet shop or website is up and running it never closes until you want it to. When one part of the world sleeps other wakes up. Your office is up and running throughout day and night. Minimum of office hassles and minimum of employee related headaches.

That implies two things -

- You have more time for yourself. You can enjoy your life better; devote more attention to your family and hobbies.

- You need to work for lesser time to run the business. If you are working you need not to leave your job while you grow your business.

It is no wonder that there are more webpages now than the human population on the earth. More and more people are turning to the net to make a good living.

Internet has surely become darling of business.

Have you embraced it yet?

How “Available” are YOU?

By Anna-Marie Stewart Venton

The internet can be pretty scary at times. Do you realise how easy it is to access your personal information? Your phone number, name, address? Even get driving instructions on how to get to your location (if you`re in the USA)??

Did you know that www.google.com works as a telephone directory?? If you`re in the USA, anybody can find you through their search engine. If you`ve got an unlisted number, this won`t apply to you:

Go type your phone number into the search box in this format 555 444 1212
(no dashes or anything). It`ll bring up your full name and address, and
it`ll give you 2 map links. The yahoo map will even give driving
instructions on how to get to where you`re at!!

There should be a telephone icon next to your listing. If you don`t want to be listed, click on that and request to be removed from the service.

This one`s for USA only, too:
Free Internet Access to Public Records

Listed are over 800 state, county, city and federal (court) URL’s where you can access public record information for free.
http://www.crimescreen.com/linkspage.htm

Don`t think you`re outta the woods just because you don`t live in the United States. There are worldwide lists too.
Here`s an example: http://www.hansaprint.fi/eypeng.html
This one`s a combination of worldwide yellow and white pages. A lot of them will link you to maps, where anybody can see your location.

Ok, here`s another one, this one is reliant on people giving accurate info though. Do you own your own registered domain? go do a “WhoIs” here:
http://www.networksolutions.com/cgi-bin/whois/whois
Brings up a lot of info, huh?

So how can you stop your personal information from getting broadcast on the web? Maybe you can`t, totally, but there are a few guidelines, that if followed, will make you less “available”

Make sure your phone number is UNLISTED! A lot of online phonebooks are based on a database used by the telephone company. Which in turn leads to your address.

Use a web based email program instead of the one provided by your ISP. Your ISP provided email address should only be given to your most trusted friends and family. This is because your ISP has your address, and possibly your banking information if your are allowing them to bill you automatically.

Get some software to make your websurfing anonymous:
http://www.anonymizer.com
http://www.articsoft.com/fileassurity_anonymizer.htm
http://www.inetprivacy.com/a4proxy/
http://anon.inf.tu-dresden.de/index_en.html

Use a firewall program if you aren’t behind one already. That way the
information on your computer can’t be accessed by another online computer
without you being prompted for permission. This site contains an excellent list of many different personal firewall programs:
http://castor.tsl.state.tx.us/ld/pubs/security/firewalls.html

So what if your information`s already out there? What can you do about it? Well it`s a long, hard job, but it CAN be done, by actually using search engines to find your personal information, and then using the remove features supplied by each particular website or writing the webmaster and requesting that he remove the info.

There you have it, you`re “available” but you don`t HAVE to be unless you want to.

Olympic Track Training

Filed under: Uncategorized @ 10:43 pm

For the Olympic Track and Field Competition the United States always faces challenges from other very competitive nations. Track and Field in Olympic History mean a lot for the United States and they show a sign of strength and honor of the individual. Generally the United States does quite well, as we have regions of our nation with year round outdoor training weather.

One critical factor in track is form and pace, both of which must be mastered to be competitive. As a college track athlete and 4-minute miler, I can vouch for the fact that it is paramount that our Olympic Athletes have the best coaches and training to master these skills. An Olympic Athlete who is in search of the top of the podium and gold medal must train all year around and coaches are expensive.

I propose using Holographic Technologies, which are getting closer to becoming reality to help train our track and field athletes by projecting runners to help establish the right pace to meet the goals of the workouts. Additionally holographic athletes can provide training to help with running form as they are projected to run around the track while the runner matches their pace and form. To do this I propose that a track with a base for the Holographic projection is used to propel the device. Think on this.

Pool Chemicals – Should Be Treated With Respect

Filed under: Health Improvement @ 10:39 pm

Unfortunately, pool chemicals are necessary for every swimming pool, hot tub or spa. Swimming pool chemicals include various kinds of disinfectants and sanitizers which work to control the growth of certain kinds of algae and bacteria in the pool water. Swimming pool chemicals may also be used in hot tubs, spas, and whirlpools. Chlorine is the most prominent chemical for pools.

You need to make sure you are safe when working around and maintaining your pool. Most chemicals are stable, but be sure to keep containers covered in a tight and cool dry place. Calcium hydrochlorites are concentrated chemicals but do not mix them with anything but water. They can become very flammable and are corrosive. Do not smoke around pool chemicals. If a fire breaks out; do not use a dry chemical fire extinguisher, only use large amounts of water. If you cannot quickly extinguish the fire; leave the area and call 911. Keep chemicals in original containers and out of reach of children. If the labels for chemicals are removed; do not use them. Never touch undiluted chemicals with your bare hands. Wear gloves and protective footwear and wash hands immediately after treating your pools. Keep all chemicals away from your eyes, or better yet, wear protective goggles. Follow directions to the letter, and don’t mix them together to save time. Never store liquid chemicals above powder or dry chemicals; and never above your head. Always add the chemical to the water and never the other way around or a chemical reaction may spontaneously occur. Use separate, clean metal or plastic measuring cups for each chemical to transfer or measure chemicals.

Chemicals may be harmful to plants or other life near the pool. If for any reason they are swallowed, call poison control immediately. Quickly move victim away from the chemical, flush with lukewarm, gently flowing water until the chemical is removed. Gently remove clothing or jewelry that may restrict circulation or that may trap some of the chemical beneath it. Follow the first aid instructions on the container.

You will be safe and so will your family if you follow some common sense guidelines for using the chemicals in the pool and around it.

When To Fund Your Living Trust – Part I

Filed under: Uncategorized @ 8:28 pm

I have received a number of emails lately about funding a living trust. It’s a question that seems to confuse a lot of people because there appears to be several right answers. And, there are several right answers – depending upon your reasons for establishing a living trust in the first place.

First, funding a living trust simply means transferring your assets to your trust. How you transfer assets is not the subject of this post [but see Funding a Revocable Living Trust]. Here, we’re only concerned with when you should transfer assets to your trust.

The answer to that question depends upon your reasons for having a living trust in the first place. For example, let’s consider one of the most important reasons for having a living trust; that is, to have someone hold and manage your assets for the benefit of your minor children – or other beneficiaries – in the event of your death.

If that’s the reason you have a living trust, then you don’t need to fund the trust at any time during your lifetime. If you die with all your assets in your own name, then a pour-over Will is sufficient to transfer your assets to your living trust after your death. Yes, your property will go through probate first, but that’s not a major concern. Your primary concern is getting your assets into a trust upon your death so that it can hold and manage those assets for the benefit of your beneficiaries.

While that may be true, why not also avoid probate as long as the trust is in place? That’s a valid question. The answer, in my opinion, is that anyone who is not particularly concerned about dying is generally not too concerned about avoiding probate – and, given the choice, they would prefer to go through probate rather than put their assets into a living trust. Generally speaking, that includes anyone under the age of 55 or so. In particular, it includes couples in their 20’s, 30’s and 40’s who have minor children. These people aren’t generally thinking about dying or becoming disabled, but they do care about taking care of their young children, especially if both parents die simultaneously in a car or an airplane accident.

Some people would argue that these people don’t even need a living trust because a testamentary trust is just as good. It’s true – a testamentary trust would accomplish their objective. However, most estate planning attorneys prefer to create a living trust, rather than a testamentary trust, for the following reasons. First, a testamentary trust is created under a Last Will and Testament (“Will”) and, if you want to change the terms of your testamentary trust, you have to make a formal change to your Will.

Second, a living trust can include all the provisions needed for avoiding probate or having your assets professionally managed in the event of incapacity, even though you may never use those provisions. In most cases, attorneys do not charge more for a living trust with these provisions than they do for a testamentary trust.

Third, if you later decide to use your living trust to avoid probate or to have someone else manage your assets, all you have to do is transfer your assets because the documentation is already in place. Finally, a Will is a public document, whereas a living trust is not. While that may not be a compelling reason to go with a living trust, it is yet another reason that weighs in favor of the living trust.

So, if you’re not concerned about dying or becoming incapacitated, then your estate plan is still likely to include a living trust as a complement to a Will. Still, a living trust in this case is very likely to remain unfunded (i.e., “dry”) until you reach the age where death and incapacity loom much greater in your overall perspective on life.

In summary, a large percentage of living trusts are created solely to provide for minor children or others after the death of the grantor, without any intention of funding them during the grantor’s lifetime. These so-called “dry trusts” have formed the backbone of estate plans for years and years, and it is only recently that the concept of funding a living trust to avoid probate has come into vogue.

The Low Glycemic Index Diet And Its Benefits For Diabetics

Filed under: Online MedicalResources @ 7:47 pm

The popular Low Glycemic Index Diet is certainly nothing new and is proven to work both as a weight loss plan and in controlling diabetes. An astounding number of Americans currently suffer from diabetes, a good majority of which experience symptoms due to improper weight management.

This Lower GI Diet is especially helpful to diabetics because it incorporates foods with a low Glycemic Index to control the amount of sugars and carbohydrates your body is forced to regulate. If you have been diagnosed with diabetes or are looking to create a healthy lifestyle and manage your weight, speak with your primary physician about beginning a proper Glycemic Index Diet.

The best benefits of starting a Glycemic Index Diet for diabetics include:

The inclusion of some carbohydrates:

Individuals with diabetes are severely discouraged from beginning a diet that restricts the intake of carbohydrates. Even though your carbohydrate level should be monitored since your body turns most carbs into sugar, every adult diet should include at least 130 grams of carbohydrates each day. These carbohydrates work as fuel for the body, providing you with much needed vitamins and minerals to maintain a healthy lifestyle.

The controlling of your diabetes with a Glycemic Index Diet alone:

If you have been diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes, usually associated as a major side effect from being obese, you may be able to control your condition without medications or injections. By carefully monitoring your Glycemic Index, you can work to control what food items your body must work to process. Since this diet only includes foods that can be successfully processed by a diabetic’s body, your body will not have to try to process foods that can be potentially harmful.

The quality foods included on the Glycemic Index Diet:

The foods allowed on the Glycemic Index Diet are wholesome and healthy. Many fresh fruits and vegetables are included in the diet, as well as whole grains and lean meats. This diet will allow you to eat healthy, and therefore to lead a healthier lifestyle. Furthermore, many of your favorite foods are on the Glycemic Index Diet list, so you can still enjoy the occasional treat.

The prevention of other diseases:

The Low Glycemic Index Diet also affects the body in the prevention of other diseases besides diabetes. Many individuals at risk for heart disease should look into starting a Low Glycemic Index Diet to protect themselves against this deadly disease. Researchers have found that a Low Glycemic Index Diet works better against preventing heart disease than a traditional low fat diet, and it is much more effective than the popular low carbohydrate fad diets.

Before you begin any diet or lifestyle change, be sure to contact your primary care provider. Speaking with this professional individual will allow you to completely understand the correct way of beginning the diet and ensure the diet will work best for someone in your situation. Furthermore, you will want to address any potential medical problems that may result from beginning a Low Glycemic Index Diet to ensure that you will remain healthy while seeking to begin a better lifestyle.

Remember, the Low Glycemic Index Diet is not a typical diet. Instead it is a lifestyle change. Once you begin your trip down this road, you should strive to remain on the diet on a long term basis. If you are a diabetic, you may not be able to allow yourself binges on unhealthy foods without paying a costly penalty, so use this diet to your advantage in controlling your condition.

Toxins of Bacteria in Dental Infection Were More Lethal than the Direct Action of Bacteria

Filed under: Health Improvement @ 1:48 am

Even though Price felt confident his research and interpretations were sound and factual, he encouraged future investigators to further test his findings.

To Dr. Price, the uncovering of truth was the most important objective of his research. He hoped the future would shed more light on his studies – and take them further. That his deductions would be ultimately proved or disproved was of little concern. What was of concern was that truth be found.

It was determined the toxins produced by the bacteria, not the bacteria themselves, killed the rabbits, and it was supposed the toxic substances in the tooth would gradually diminish with each implantation. The actual amount of poison in a single tooth isn’t very great, so it was expected to be completely gone after 20 rabbits had been used. It was also assumed that with each succeeding rabbit, the rabbit’s life span would become longer than the first rabbit’s as the poins dissipated. Instead, they all died within six days, except for one that lived 1o days.

This particular rabbit was a very large and vigorous male and an ugly fighter that tried to kill others in the cage. Within six hours of the tooth implantation, it lost all of its pugnacity and viciousness. In a couple of days, blood changes such as the reduction of ionic calcium appeared and the rabbit began to lose weight.

Calcium values of the animals that developed capsulations about the embedded teeth tended to stay the same, while in others the calcium progressively became less and less, and in some it dropped to zero. Whenever a rabbit failed to build an encapsulating membrance, it would die quickly. In other words, the encapsulation provided some degree of temporary immunity.

It may prove difficult for the average person to comprehend the concept that these deaths are not being caused by bacteria but by the poisons or toxins, they produce. To demonstrate these infirmities can be due to toxins, Price crushed the roots of root filled teeth, washed them, and passed the washings through a Berkefeld filter, a method which removes all bacteria.

Culturing the remaining solution to see if any bacteria had been retained proved none had. Nevertheless, the remaining liquid, when it was inoculated into rabbits, would start their decline. In addition, there occurred a depression of their normal ionic calcium level and a progressive loss of weight. Death usually resulted in a few weeks. These facts suggested the encapsulating sack is not a typical neoplasm (tumor), but is a protective membrane developed by nature to protect the animal carrying it.

What occurs appears to be defense mechanism to save the rabbit, but in these cases it can do so only temporarily because of the virulence of the toxins continually being produced by the bacteria in the dentin tubules.

In the experiments Price did with rabbits, the most surprising results occurred when he removed an infected tooth which had been embedded in a rabbit that had died, and then placed it in boiling water for one hour. When the tooth cooled off, it was re-embedded in another rabbit. An encapsulation took place and in about two weeks blood changes started to occur which resulted in that rabbit’s dying in a period of 22 days.

3 Things to Watch Out For When Getting a Home Equity Loan Online

Filed under: Uncategorized @ 12:24 am

The internet can be a valuable resource for researching the ins and outs of getting a home equity loan. It can also be a great place to find a reputable mortgage broker, as long as you are careful not to get caught in an online home equity loan scam.

Watch out for subprime lending.

Subprime lending is when a lender offers to give you a lone for an extremely high interest rate and tacks on excessive fees. Usually these loans are given to high risk individuals who are so desperate for a loan that they don’t take the time to shop around for a company that will work with them despite a bad credit rating.

Watch out for equity stripping.

Equity stripping is when a loan is based solely on the value of your home, and doesn’t take into consideration your ability to repay the loan. The usual result of these loans, is the borrower can’t repay it and the lender ends up acquiring the home and all the equity in it.

Watch out for predatory lenders.

Predatory lenders thrive on setting up loan situations in which the borrower is destined to default, consequently losing his home. Some of the signs that you might be dealing with a predatory lender include a broker that requires you to put false information on the loan application, apply for a larger loan than you need, or sign blank loan papers, saying they will be filled in later. You also want to avoid lenders that promise you one set of terms when you first apply and then change the terms when it comes time to sign or refuse to give you copies of the forms once you have signed. Predatory lenders often misrepresent the type of credit you are being given and fail to provide the required loan disclosures.

There are a lot of reasons to apply for a home equity loan online. The process is fast, easy, and convenient, as long as you take care to avoid the pitfalls of dealing with unscrupulous brokers.

Reducing Credit Card Debt Without Owning A Home

Filed under: Uncategorized @ 7:10 pm

The easiest way to reduce credit card debt is through a home equity loan, but there are debt reduction options out there for those who don’t own a home. With a little wisdom and planning, you can get to work on securing your financial freedom.

Let the professionals work for you.

There are companies that specialize in negotiating with credit card companies. They are able to lower balances, reduce interest, and even remove fees. Allow one of these negotiation services to work on your behalf and you will be surprised at how much less you will owe almost immediately. Then to reduce your debt even more, start taking the money you save each month and apply it to your debt. The faster you pay off your debt the less interest you will owe.

Let the professionals do the budget for you.

Let’s face it, if budgeting were your strong suit, you probably would have a handle on your credit card spending. Sitting down with a professional credit counselor and letting them take a look at your budget and put you on the right track for your financial future. A credit counselor can even help you work out a payment schedule that will let you see a light at the end of the debt tunnel.

Tighten your belt and make some short term sacrifices.

It may not be the fun thing to do, but the reality is that unless you pay more than the minimum payment on your credit card balance, you will never get yourself out of debt. This might mean that for a year or two you will have to go without some of the luxuries your used to having. Make a list of the things in your life that are necessities and the things that are extras and then decide what things you can do without at least until you have a handle on your debt.

Try using www.abcloanguide.com for a list of Recommended Credit Card Debt Consolidation Companies online. Their recommended companies are reputable and offer great service.
